About the project
The Amirabad 22rd Residential Building rethinks vertical circulation by transforming the staircase from a functional element into a “vertical alley.” Inspired by traditional alleys, this intermediate space encourages pauses, encounters, and interaction among residents. Moving across the façade, it divides the building envelope into clearer segments. The perforated façade controls views and solar exposure while sheltering habitable terraces and creating a semi-transparent boundary between private units and the city, resulting in a distinctive model of collective living and everyday experience.
